Avineon Tensing has partnerships with Safe Software and Esri, a footprint across Europe, the US and Asia, with over 60 FME and 35 certified Esri specialists in Europe.
At Avineon Tensing you will work within a supportive team environment that will focus on extending your knowledge as a specialist and offer you a space in which you can grow and ultimately gain recognition and status within the geospatial industry.
Your role and responsibilities
- Build remarkable FME workbenches that make data fit for purpose, simplify workflows and automate data management tasks;
- Assist with the development of FME best practice guides, workbench reviews and undertake training courses;
- Work as an effective member of a team on a diverse range of projects;
- Provide technical support on projects to various disciplines internally and externally direct with clients;
- Identify pain points in clients data workflows and propose new solutions;

Who you will be working for and where you be working
Avineon Tensing specialty is Spatial Intelligence, using the most powerful technology for Data Integration, Data Analysis and Data Visualization. We do this with through three building blocks - consultancy, software and training.
With a close team of more than 70 consultants in Europe alone we provide an environment that encourages informal learning opportunities.
At present most clients are currently located in the Netherlands, we are expanding operations in the United Kingdom, Belgium and France.
This UK based role is hybrid-remote with visits to the London (Baker Street) and client offices as required.

Skills and experience we are after
- A bachelor's degree in GIS, Engineering, related science or a related experience;
- Working towards or have obtained FME Professional certification;
- At least 3 years of experience working with FME Desktop and/or FME Server/Cloud;
- Experience with at least one other geospatial toolkit (ESRI platform, QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, Geospatial python or R libraries).
- Knowledge of relational databases and geospatial/transfer data formats (JSON, XML etc);
- Most importantly - you are passionate about unlocking the potential of geospatial data;
Nice to haves
- Python or R scripting experience;
- Ability to construct SQL scripts;
- Experience providing support in project focused environments;
- A proven experience in delivering high quality outputs to a deadline;
